Igor loses to Dubai's title holder !

Unfortunately Igor lost to a very tight match of the second round match in Dubai.

Igor lost in the 1st set 2-6 but then won the 2nd set 6-3. The third set had a dramatic end as Igor lost in the Tie break 6-7 (2-6)!

What a match!!! In the begginning of the match things looked bad but thankfully he regained his strengths and motivation in order to face a 3 set match.

Let's hope he'll continue with the good work...

Igor wins in 1st Round!!!

Igor defeats Gicquel in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championships: I Andreev (RUS) d M Gicquel (FRA) 67(4) 64 75 He was less fortunate in the doubles match where he and David Ferrer lost: Baghdatis/Simon d Andreev/Ferrer 75 64

Igor will hafe a more difficult second round against #2 seed Rafael Nadal.

This match is scheduled today (wednesday) on center court and it will be the last match of the day.

Igor at the Dubai Tennis Championships 26/02 - 3/03

Igor's next tournament will be in Dubai where he will face Frenchman Marc Gicquel in the first round.

Igor will also participate in the doubles with David Ferrer. Their oponents will be Marcos Baghdatis/Gilles Simon.

Igor withdraws from doubles match in Barcelona

Igor and Nikolay didn't play their 1st round doubles match yesterday and were replaced by Djokovic/Tursunov. Apparently Igor withdrew due to his knee... Let's hope this isn't very serious and won't take him away from courts very long. Get well soon Igor!

Gabashvili def Andreev

T Gabashvili (RUS) def (11)I Andreev (RUS) 46 76(6) 76(4). Unfortunately Igor loses again in the 1st round. However, he is still playing in Barcelona. His 1st round doubles match is scheduled tomorrow (April 25th). It will be the second match on central court: Pavel/Srichaphan vs Andreev/Davydenko. Davai Igor!!!

Open Seat Barcelona

Igor plays his 1st Round in Barcelona on Monday April 24th. His first opponent is Gabashvili (RUS) and they start on Court 3 at 10:45 AM. Good Luck Igor!

Monte-Carlo Masters

Igor had an unfortunate Monte-Carlo Masters. He lost to Ivan Ljubicic in the 1st round (6-3, 4-6, 6-2).

In the doubles he played with his compatriot and usual partner Nikolay Davydenko. Unfortunately they lost in the 1st round as well against the pair Seppi/Bolleli who were replacing Schrichaphan/Kiefer. The final score was: 7-5, 0-6, 10-6.
